Low Income Support Inc. is largely supported by volunteers, donations, and the support of individuals and businesses in our community. We can accomplish, impact, and help more through your partnership.
ITEMS AND SERVICES NEEDED
A little giving can make a big impact toward improving the quality of life of low income individuals and families. There is a constant need for essential items and individuals to help with specific services.
There have been a lot of requests for specific items, which is the focus of this list. Names and items are listed so we can make sure the donated item is provided to the person in need.
Once a need is filled a check mark will be placed next to it. “✅”
Currently needed items and services:
- Lance – Water proof sleeping bag & medium size backpack – not the school type. Lives on the river and helps out every morning at Corpus.
- Kristen – Living on the street – XL thermals, 3X or 4X Large winter jacket & size 7.5 winter boots – She’s on the New Path list.
- Juanita – Living on the street – S thermals and size 7.5 winter boots, lives on the street
- NaRae – Down comforter or cold weather sleeping bag. Lives in a ProMaster Van. She’s facing many obstacles but trying her best to stay positive.
- Doryahn – Vehicle needs 4 tires, we support her in keeping the vehicle running. Big O can procure and install for $400.
- Steven – Medium/Lg backpack, just arrived in Boise and living on the street.
- Multiple Requests – Idaho Youth Ranch or St. Vincent DePaul Gift Cards – Needed for specific clothing items.
- Multiple Requests – Cold Weather Sleeping Bags and tarps.
- Multiple Requests – Gas Vouchers. I usually pick these up at a Jackson Station for $10 each. I’m seeing many more unhoused living in their cars and needing to just move so they won’t get ticketed.
- Multiple Requests – Factory reset cell phones. This is their connection to the nonprofit organizations and many can’t afford them. I meet with these folks to verify the need is legitimate and is necessary for medical, family or job related functions. If you donate please make sure the cell phone is factory reset and not linked to an email or apple ID.
Email info@boiselist.org to let us know about your offer of support. If you have specific items, they can be dropped off at the Catch Located at 503 S Americana Blvd between the hours of 9AM-3PM Monday through Friday.

VOLUNTEER
A key factor in the success of the BoiseLIST.org tool is the fact every organization is vetted on a recurring weekly basis. We’re always in need of volunteers to call and develop ongoing relationships with the organizations.
We also need volunteers to collect and distribute the resources made available by the businesses and donors of the Boise area.
Contact us about becoming a volunteer by emailing info@boiselist.org.
